The California Reading and Literature Project (CRLP) at UC Davis offers local TK-12 educators classroom-ready resources and professional learning programs designed to build student literacy and learning.
Supported by a unique partnership between the California Reading and Literature Project (CRLP), the Yolo County Office of Education (YCOE), and the Center for Public Service and Education (CPSE), The California Reading and Literature Project at UC Davis launched in January 2025.
CRLP at UC Davis is part of the new Yolo Center for Language and Literacy at the Yolo County Office of Education, led by Heather Schlaman, Ph.D. “Through the Yolo Center, we aim to bring the best and most current scholarship to professional learning for TK-12 educators,” said Schlaman. “It is a unique opportunity to cultivate a strong cohort of teacher leaders who are engaged with research, committed to high-quality literacy instruction, and poised to support their colleagues throughout the region.”
